Position summary
Save the Children Australia has 10 shops situated around the Perth metropolitan area. We aim to raise funds through the sale of goods in the shops. These funds are used to support programs in child rights development locally, nationally and internationally.
The Visual Merchandiser (VM) is responsible for ensuring that the shop is well stocked with appropriate merchandise and all merchandise is well displayed. The VM will liaise with the Retail Manager to ensure that suitable merchandise is supplied to the shop from Head Office on a weekly basis, paying particular attention to the Retro and Designer lines. Displays should be current, refreshed weekly and should attract customers to buy.

The VM will be required to:
- provide guidance to shop in regards to pricing
- ensure displays are clean, current, engaging and refreshed each week
- ensure appropriate levels of stock are in place both on the shop floor and in the storage areas
- participate in relevant training and meetings
- travel across several stores if available to do so upon request

Essential skills and/or experience
We're looking for someone who is:
- punctual
- reliable
- honest
- neatly presented
- able to work independently
- a good communicator
Desired experience
Ideally, you will have:
- previous experience in retail
- previous customer service experience
- previous Visual Merchandising experience
- your own vehicle if travelling across stores becomes an option
Confirmed volunteers will be required to:
- give permission for Save the Children to undertake a National Police Record Check and provide 100 points of identification
- read and accept the Save the Children Volunteer Code of Conduct and Child Protection Policy
