Position summary
Assist the Mobile Playbus staff with supported playgroups for parents/carers with children under five years old. The programs provide a range of educational toys, play equipment and craft activities to target each developmental stage of the child.
The objectives of a playgroup assistant is to:
- set up and pack down of Mobile Playgroups
- assist children with craft and play
- clean down equipment after playgroup

Mondays 10am – 12pm
Thursdays 9:30am – 11:30am
Duration of project: ongoing with an immediate start

Essential skills and/or experience
A successful playgroup assistant will be:
- good with young kids
- happy to commit their time every week
- punctual, reliable, neatly presented, happy and helpful
- willing to learn
- eager to play and have a good sense of fun

Confirmed volunteers will be required to:
- Give permission for Save the Children to undertake a National Police Record and Working With Children Check.
- ​Read and accept the Save the Children Volunteer Code of Conduct and Child Protection Policy.
