Save the Children in Queensland has a proud and long history of helping children to reach their full potential. We first began working in Brisbane in 1919, helping children in Eastern Europe recovering from World War I.
Today, we run a range of programs that improve the lives of children in Queensland. From our domestic and family violence refuges, which have been running for more than 30 years, to our mobile playgroups in women’s correctional facilities, each of our Queensland programs aims to protect children and prevent abuse and neglect.
